CONTRAST Helps Us To See.
In this workshop we explored the uses of CONTRAST with Mixed Media while drawing from the live model. Student drawings were based on the compositional principles of Focal Point, the "Forces That Move", Light, and Space. Students used each of the Drawing Elements to create different Contrasts, resulting in ever stronger and more convincing figurative compositions.
This was a talented and focused group of students--hard working and willing to experiment freely with every suggestion and exercise I presented. Thank you to all of them--it was a fantastic weekend of drawing! And this photo album showing a selection of their work is certainly testament to that.
