Introduction
This is an album of photos I took during this TENTH ANNUAL "Painting the Figure in the Landscape" on Guemes Island, WA: 2012.
It was a wonderfully creative and focused painting retreat of 16 students (the most students yet) set on the beautiful San Juan Island, Guemes Island. Many Thanks to our most generous hosts, Patty and Tom, whose estate was our painting grounds.
You will see in these photos students at work, paintings in progress, our inspiring model set in various environments, having fun after class, and most of all, innovative-smart-interesting-exciting-working canvases!
With gratitude to my willing and wonderful students--and again to Patty and Tom, and Androu & Linda, too. All together we created four days of plein air figure painting "nirvana"!
