PAINT the FIGURE in the LANDSCAPE

If you enjoy both painting from a live model and the landscape, this is a special opportunity!
Each day the class meets at a different Seattle City Park where Fugate introduces painting goals for that day. You begin with a small scale painting sketch followed by a long study on canvas from a clothed model posed in an open vista, by the water, or among towering trees.
Each day will focus on artists from Post-Impressionism, Expressionism, and Surrealism, investigating the unique sensibilities and vision of each art movement. The concepts defining these movements will help direct your plein air paintings toward new ways of looking and responding to your surroundings.
Issues covered include a variety of paint applications, composition choices, and vivid color.
Energize your powers of observation and spark your imagination with this exciting workshop.
Oil or acrylic paints. Some painting experience is highly recommended.
