PAINTING THE FIGURE IN THE LANDSCAPE

in 3 Seattle City Parks

This three-day workshop combines the challenge and beauty of Landscape and Figure painting in one class. There is nothing more natural than painting outside and adding a live figure model to the scene is nothing short of exciting!  

Fugate discusses the techniques and concepts of an artist a day, including Manet, Morisot and Gauguin. Painting issues covered include: expressive color,composition, limited color palettes, space and texture.

Each day the class meets at a different Seattle City Park where Fugate introduces painting goals for that day. You begin with a small scale painting sketch followed by a long study on canvas.

This is a great opportunity to explore painting techniques and concepts inspired by a live model posed by open vistas, water views, and towering trees.

Painting experience is recommended.  Oil or Acrylic paints.
