Here is another portrait drawing I completed this week. It is on white Rosapina Fabriano paper, 20" x 16", sepia chalk and watercolor washes. Madeleine had not sat for an artist before--and as she said, the experience of sitting for the drawing was as much of a treasure as she feels her portrait to be. Drawings and paintings, that take time to create, is perhaps becoming more and more unusual for most people to imagine--not happening instantly with a push of a button.
