It was a fun weekend of friends, patrons, and new folks visiting my studio this weekend for my building's Open House. Thanks to all who were able to stop by--it was great to see you! Your participation viewing and purchasing our work is always appreciated. Cooper Artist Lofts consists of 36 live/work artist spaces--I'm so happy to be one of many who live and create art of all kinds under our one roof.
Here are a few pictures from the event, taken in my studio and a couple out in my hallway where several of us installed 700 clear helium balloons to activate and further realize space. It was an endeavor for sure to inflate all those balloons! Many thanks to Flynn, Glynis, Gina, Seth, Case, Ismay and Paul for helping make it happen. My good friend, neighbor, and painter Koji Kubota is pictured having fun with the balloons as they made their journey from the ceiling to floor. It snowed balloons this weekend!
Also, many thanks to Winfield Hobbs for gracing my studio with his song and music! You were great!
